FOR THE SAINTS AND SINNERS: A LIMITED EDITION RING

Love is never just one thing. It’s devotion, destruction, tenderness and recklessness all at the same time. It’s the butterflies in your stomach before a first kiss and the ache of knowing nothing this good ever lasts. That’s what inspired The Saints & Sinners Ring—a piece that captures the intensity of love in all its forms.

The Symbolism: A Sacred Heart

This design draws from sacred heart imagery—traditionally the sacred heart is a symbol of devotion, sacrifice, and passion. But love isn’t just about purity; there's a deep unyeilding and agressive fire that fuels its experience. The Saints & Sinners Ring is a heart wreathed in thorns, a reminder that love, at its most powerful, is never without risk. For the centrepiece I chose a glowing synthetic opal that flickers with the kind of intensity that can’t be tamed.

The Many Faces of Passion

The Star-Crossed Lovers - This is a love that is forever doomed by fate, yet completely irresistible. Think of Romeo and Juliet, Tristan and Isolde, or even modern reinterpretations like Hazel and Gus from The Fault in Our Stars. This is the kind of love that exists outside of reason, defying everything but destiny itself. It’s intense, it’s heartbreaking, and it never really ends—it just lingers in the echoes of “what could have been but never will be."

The Forbidden Romance – This is the love that thrives in the shadows, lustrous and clawing at your insides. Whether it’s Hades and Persephone, Lancelot and Guinevere these stories are fuelled by tension, secrecy, and the thrill of the unknown. It’s the kind of love that asks, what are you willing to risk for your deepest and darkest desires?

A Fleeting Passion – Love that burns so fast and furiously, it can never last. This is Gatsby reaching for Daisy’s green light. This is the stranger you met on a trip who changed you forever, or the summer romance that still haunts you years later. The beauty of fleeting love is its impermanence—it’s perfect and heartbreaking because it’s temporary.

An Unconventional Love – A love that refuses to conform. Whether it’s an open-ended, undefined connection, an unexpected pairing, or radical self-love, this kind of love asks, who made the rules, anyway? Characters like Virginia Woolf’s Orlando, or even the deep, layered love between Achilles and Patroclus in The Song of Achilles, prove that love doesn’t simply have to fit a single mould.

Jewellery as a symbol of individuality

Most jewellery that symbolises love is soft, delicate and predictable. Of course what I have made is the opposite. This ring is not about a neat and tidy romance—it’s about the messy, complicated, exhilarating kind. The kind that causes an orgastic metamorphosis of the self.

Limited Edition, Like Love in Its Purest Form

This ring is limited to just 10 pieces, each made to order. No mass production, no duplicates—just a moment of passion, frozen in sterling silver.

This piece isn’t just about romance. It’s about the kind of love that changes you—whether that’s the electric rush of a new connection or the self-love that rises from the ashes of something lost. Love makes saints of us. Love makes sinners of us. And sometimes, it makes us both.
